Not long ago, I struggled to stay consistent with my Bible reading.
Life always seemed too busy.
Work.
Family.
Appointments.
By the end of the day, I was simply too tired.
I kept telling myself I would read more tomorrow.
But tomorrow kept getting pushed further away.
I bought study Bibles.
Started reading plans.
Made promises to build better habits.
None of them lasted very long.
Eventually, I accepted that maybe I just wasn’t disciplined enough to read Scripture every day.
Then a friend asked me a simple question.
“Why not use the Bible app that’s already on your phone?”
It sounded almost too obvious.
After all, I used my phone dozens of times every day.
Checking messages.
Reading the news.
Scrolling through social media.
Yet I had never thought about turning those few spare minutes into time with God’s Word.
So I downloaded a Bible app.
The next morning, I opened a daily devotional.
It only took a few minutes.
A short passage.
A brief reflection.
A simple prayer before starting my day.
To my surprise, it didn’t feel like another task.
It became something I genuinely looked forward to.
Soon, reading Scripture became part of my everyday routine.
While waiting in line.
During lunch breaks.
Before going to bed.
Whenever I had a quiet moment.
Curious, I began exploring reading plans, devotionals, and audio Bible features that made it even easier to stay consistent.
The short video below shows why millions of Christians are choosing to read the Bible on their phones and how these apps are helping people build a daily habit of spending time in God’s Word.
I almost ignored it.
I assumed using a phone would make my faith feel less personal.
Instead, I discovered the opposite.
Having the Bible with me wherever I went made it easier than ever to stay connected throughout the day.
Today, I still enjoy reading from a printed Bible.
But my phone has become the tool that helps me stay consistent.
Sometimes, the biggest change in our spiritual life doesn’t come from finding more time…
It comes from making better use of the moments we already have.
